Environmental Science is designed for environmental study not only awareness among students but the solution of environmental problems and issues. It deals with the environmental and the economy of Mother Earth and the ecosystem of man.
This course is designed to serve as an introduction to the different perspectives in the study of gender and sexuality. Throughout this course we will approach gender and sexuality as socially, anthropologically, biologically and psychologically contingent concepts. The rigidity of gender binaries, notions of gender difference, and how gender identity is formed through processes of socialization and social control will also be discussed. Students will be introduced to relevant theories of gender and sexuality and will be asked to apply these theories to a range of contemporary issues that are relevant to our local contexts, as well as a broader international context.

This course introduces students to the contemporary world by examining the multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various disciplines of the social sciences, it examines the economic, social, political, technological, and other transformations that have created an increasing awareness of the interconnectedness of people and places around the globe. To this end, the course provides an overview of the various debates in global governance, development, and sustainability. Beyond exposing the student to the world outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship and global ethical responsibility.
